Owen is definitely a one of a kind character. I first met him at high school, then at work at Hydro, car pooled and played pick up broomball with him. I remember his run up the CN tower steps. Going to work with Doug McDougall we would stop just before Hwy 21 and Owen would get out and ride his bike into work, and of course told everyone he rode it all the way from Wingham. He used to drive his car on the railway tracks from Wingham to Teeswater (my home town) and then try to drive it back to Wingham using only the side window vents to steer the car. I thought he was involved in the Guinness record for beer bottle collection with Blaine McCutcheon. Lots of great memories. He will truly be missed. Sincere Condolences, Bill McDonald

We always took our kids to see Owen's display of Christmas. Their eyes were wide open in wonder at the lights. Owen did this because he was a caring and generous soul. He lived big. My condolences to his family.
