Ruth and Family:
Sincere sympathies on the passing of Bob. He made a small replica of a horse sleigh shortly after he left Walton Feed Mill. Our grandson still has it and we really appreciate it. Bob was never stuck for an answer. His wit and humour carried him through.

Rita and I had our first date at the MNR Christmas party in 1985. We had the good fortune of sharing a dinner table with Bob and Ruth. Bob's sense of humour certainly made it a memorable occasion and we still have a laugh about it from time to time. It was always a pleasure to talk with Bob. He not only had a great sense of humour, but was a multi-talented, intelligent man. Ruth, you were a great match for Bob and he certainly knew he hit the jackpot when he married you. Sincere condolences, Ruth, to you and your family. Steve and Rita Bowers

Ruth I am so very sorry to read of Bob's passing. He was a great person to chat with and I enjoyed seeing the many, many tractors he had made. My dad was happy to come that one time with me and he and Bob had a great chat about farm equipment.
My thoughts go out to you and your family on the passing of Bob.

Bob was a real character, one of the best story tellers ever! He never let his loss of sight deter him if he could. I'd remind him on occasion during a story "but your blind" and he'd respond "that don't really matter". I spent many hours with you the Gordon family and I will miss Bob and he tremendous gift of conversation and a positive outlook. I took my son over to see the Tractor collection, truly amazing and he really enjoyed it. We have some of his work here on our our Tractor shelf!
My sympathies and support to all of you from our family, I will miss him!
Stephen and Lara Dow.

Ruth, Margie, Robert and families:
We are so saddened to learn of Bob's passing. You and Bob were the best neighbors anyone could ask for when we lived next door in Belgrave. Our children loved being over at your place and were treated just like family. Even though Bob was blind, he put Brad on and off the bus for us every day and enjoyed spending time with him and Coco. We remember all the great visits when we lived close and after we moved out of the village. Know we are here for all of you and share in your sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I enjoyed our visits over the years and I was honoured to arrange many trips he enjoyed so much. He so loved his travels and there was no one that got more out of travelling than Bob, despite his challenges. He loved to meet new people and learn about their culture and history. My sincere condolences to all the family. Cherish those wonderful memories and hold his memory dear.

We had the pleasure of meeting Bob & Ruth just a little over a year ago when we moved across the street from them in Belgrave. Although our conversations were not often enough, or not long enough, we were blessed to have met him. He was a strong, resilient, and courageous man, who we will mostly remember as just humble. He will be missed by all of his friends and family and community.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family.
