Dear Stephen, Kathy, Maryon, Dawn and families
There are really no words I can say that would really capsulize or provide a descriptor for your Dad and the loss you will feel. That being said, your Dad and Mother left here on earth their offspring who are second to none. Kathy I know it was rough between you and your Dad near the end but he loved you to the moon and back - he never had anything but awe and admiration for you during your journey in becoming a teacher and now a principal - he was so proud. Stephen you were and are the apple of his eye. He was so proud of how you conduct yourself, your skills and your family. Maryon your Dad would always say you were the quiet one. He told us one day at one of the reunions that you were the most like the Sabo's and kept everyone in line! Dawn even though you were the baby you were the feisty one and again at a reunion when we were getting caught up he had to wipe a tear while talking about you being out west and away from home.
Most importantly you kids have been able to pick yourselves up and say "what would have mom done?" and now it will be "do you remember when". Our hearts are heavy, but so glad that your Dad and Mom left behind such wonderful memories and great kids.

To the Dow Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I will only be able to see you briefly during this time, but please know that your dad and your family will forever be in my heart. I will always remember the good times that we had and the great memories that were made. Don was a wonderful man who will certainly be cherished by all who knew him forever. He will be united with your mom now and both of them will be watching over you with smiles and the support they always gave you.
Gone from our sight, never from our hearts - take care of one another.

Wonderful memories of how Donald enjoyed the Chandler kids running across the road after school for a taste of maple sap or to raid his berry bushes and later watching over our antics as we became teenagers. He was such a positive influence on us all. Sincere condolences.
