A week ago today a moments silence was observed in memory of Murray at the Maitland Valley CA Foundation's annual fundraising dinner. It was a fitting tribute to a fine friend of mother nature who understood her whole picture and lived it everyday. Many of us who were fortunate enough to be in his presence were inspired by Murray and are obligated to continue furthering the living proof of his legacy.

Oh how sad I was to hear of Murray's passing. A dear dear friend in high school and for years afterward.Life's mission separates friends but good thoughts are always there and I put off coming to see Murray too long. I was determined this year to come for a visit this summer. My wife just had surgery which prevented me from coming to the funeral.Murray was a true friend with a great sense of humor and dedicated to his loves of life.Wilma and family will certainly miss him dearly. My best regards to the family.

I am so very sorry for the pain you are going through because of your loss of Murray .....he was a true gentleman and I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with him on various elections. To your family when one asks "what is dying" you can tell them it is like a ship sailing away and you stand watching till he fades on the horizon and someone at your side said "he is gone." Gone where? Gone from our sight, that is all - in truth he is just as large as when we saw him last.......the diminished size and total loss of sight is in us, not in him......and just at the moment when he leaves our sight and we say "He is gone" there are others on the other side who are watching his coming , and voices take up a glad shout.......there he comes.......... sherry

We were so saddened to hear about Murray. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We have been weeping at times for we are going to miss such a caring ,loving man. He has been so kind and loving to us over many years as a neighbour . We are saddened that we can't be at his funeral ,we don't get home till late tomorrow night.We love you Wilma and family
