Obituary of Theresa Barrett

At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, August 01, 2005, Mrs. Theresa Barrett of Kitchener, age 80 years. The former Theresa Halley beloved wife of the late Herbert Benedict (1982) and the late Eric Barrett (1996). Dear mother of Dianne Benedict of Fordwich, Madeline and Harold Laffin of R.R. # 2, Blyth and Herbert and Karen Benedict of Kitchener. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Edward and Theresa (O'Brien) Halley and by brothers Alex, Doug, John, Ned, Tommy, Patrick, and sisters Madeline and Rita. Theresa was born in Topsail, Newfoundland on September 12, 1924. She was a WWII veteran and served in the Canadian Womens Army Corps. (CWAC) Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Thursday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 am. Father John Jasica officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. CWL Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 3:45 pm.
