Obituary of Oscar Charles Schefter

At his residence on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, Mr. Oscar Schefter of Lucknow, formerly of Turnberry Township age 85 years. Beloved husband of the former Caroline Spielmaker (1993) and the late Florence (King) Reid (2003). Dear father of Ronald and Ruth Schefter of R.R. # 4, Wingham, Mary Lou and Bob Sitler of R.R. # 3, Walkerton, James and Marion Schefter of R.R. # 1, Gorrie and Betty Anne and Alex Chisholm of Auburn. Also survived by Florence's family, Gerald and Georgina Reid, Lois and Robert McMillan, Beth and Chris Napper and Janet and Dave Robb and their families, his sister Helen and Joseph Martin of Teeswater, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his friend Erna McNall of Lucknow. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Clara (Moyer) Schefter, sisters Mae, Evelyn and Madeline and brothers George, Alfred, Albert, Lloyd and Harold (Jim). Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Thursday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 am. Father John Johnson officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario.
