Obituary of Gordon Carl Funk

At Wingham & District Hospital on Saturday, November 07, 2015, Gord Funk of Bluevale, age 82 years.

Beloved husband of Lois (Kells) Funk of Bluevale. Cherished father of Terry Funk, Bob Funk, Allen Funk, Christina Worner and Mike Latronico and Dawn and Rick Poels. Dear grandfather of Patricia, Victoria, Nicole, Jenna, Victor, Shelby, Marcella, Jesse, Bailey and Ben. Great-grandfather of Landis and Logan. Also survived by his friend Gord McKeen. Predeceased by his parents Otto and Phyllis (Jones) Funk and sister Gladys Hughes.

Gordon was a bus driver for 40 years. He did the Scone to Kitchener run every day until his retirement with Cherrey Bus Lines in 2005. After retirement he enjoyed helping out with the Howick Farmer's Market and the cruise nights. He also enjoyed time with his family, watching the history channel, reading and spending time with his dog Holly.

Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Tuesday, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Memorial services will be held at Wingham United Church on Wednesday at 3:00 pm. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating.

Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. ©
