Obituary of John Andrew Currie

At Braemar Retirement Centre, on Thursday, December 13, 2007, Mr. John A. Currie of Wingham, age 80 years. Beloved husband of the former Helen Strong. Dear father of Heather and Michael Burke of Guelph, Sandra and Norman Richards of Cobourg, Robert and Lise Currie of Georgetown, Karen and Richard Peter of London and Paul Currie of Ottawa. Also survived by his son-in-law Brian Courtis, his sister Doreen and Doug Simpson and grandchildren Andrea, Erica, Ashley, and Alex Courtis, Clark and Christina Richards, John and Thomas Currie, Leslie and Sheena Peter and Grace, Patrick and Andrew Burke. Predeceased by his parents Robert John and Nellie (Crozier) Currie and his daughter Ruth Ellen Courtis in 2002. Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Monday at 1:00 pm. Reverend Bernard Skelding officiating. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
