Obituary of George Clarence Tervit

At Wingham & District Hospital, on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, Mr. George Tervit of Wingham, age 89 years. Beloved husband of the former Barbara Newman. Father of Les and Kate Tervit of R.R. # 3, Moorefield, Ron and Kate Tervit of Shelburne and Peg and Keith Cameron of Wingham. Grandfather of Jordan and Joshua Tervit, Joel and Nathan Tervit, and Christopher and Nic Cameron. Brother of Jean Deans, Mary Wallace and Jack and Jean Tervit all of Wingham. Also survived by Barbara's sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents George and Annie (Robertson) Tervit, and brothers-in-law Jack Deans and Don Wallace. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Reverend Bernard Skelding officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
