Obituary of Joyce Rosalind Powell

At Heritage House Retirement Home, St Jacobs on Sunday, September 28, 2008, Mrs. Joy Powell of St Jacobs, formerly of Turnberry Township and Bluevale age 84 years. The former Joy White beloved wife of T. Edward Powell. Dear mother of Thomas Powell (Mona) of London, Karen Robineau (Roger) of Oakville and Marjorie Moore (Mike) of Newmarket. Lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Ruby (Honor) White, her daughters Rosie in 1966 and Susie Metzger (2007), sisters Marjorie and Mary White, Phyllis Fraser and Nan Girard and brothers Henry White QC. and Charles White. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Tuesday, from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Reverend Wayne Beamer officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
