Obituary of George Ian Gibbons

At Braemar Retirement Centre, Morris-Turnberry Township on Sunday, July 20, 2008, Mr. George Gibbons of R.R. # 1, Wingham, age 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Leola Wraith who predeceased him in 1991. Dear father of Ian and Anne-Louise of Greenock, Marlene and Jack Heibein ofgGuelph, Winston and Diane of Goderich, Wayne and Doris of Lucknow, Lionel and Sue of Listowel, Brian and Mayme Gibbons and Helen and Jim Sleightholm of R.R. # 3, Wingham. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Merril in 1941, his grandson Andy Nethery in 1996, his sister Helen Wraight and his brother Gomer Gibbons. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Tuesday, 12:00 - 1:45 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Interment in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow, Ontario. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
