Obituary of Lorne Linden Metcalfe

At Wingham & District Hospital, on Sunday, October 11, 2009, Mr. Lorne Metcalfe of Wingham, age 78 years. Beloved husband of the former Wilma Fisk. Dear father of Scott and Susan Metcalfe of Waterloo, Barbara and Barry Underwood of Wingham, Murray Metcalfe and Cao Li Jie of Shanghai, China and Ian Metcalfe of Lucknow. Also survived by grandchildren, Brittany, Troy, Melissa, Jillian and Kyle, his sister Verlie and Bob Toman of Restoule and sistes-in-law Rita Metcalfe of Wingham, Jean Schumacher and friend Lloyd McGlynn of Teeswater and Dorothy Ross of Walkerton. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Myrtle (Bennett) Metcalfe and his brothers Brian and Jack. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Tuesday, from 7:00-9:00 pm. and Wednesday, from 1:00 pm. until the time of funeral services in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Reverend Perry Chuipka officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or St.Pauls Trinity Anglican Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
