Obituary of James Kennedy Lamont

At Seaforth Community Hospital, on Saturday, April 11, 2009, Mr. Jim Lamont of Belgrave, age 79 years. Beloved husband of the former Irene Smith. Dear father of Dale and Colleen Lamont of London, Donelda and Mike Cottrill of Belgrave and Dwight Lamont of Goderich. Loving grandfather of Shawn, Christopher and Matthew Cottrill. Brother of Archie Lamont of Virden, Manitoba, Ann and Barney Marshall of Campbell River, British Columbia, Mary and Don McLeod and sister-in-law Helen Lamont of Moosomin, Saskatchewan, and Amy and Ralph McCrea of Blyth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Jessie (Miller) Lamont and his sons David Lamont in infancy (1962) and Daniel Lamont (1979) and brothers Tom, George, William and Joe. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Monday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 4:30 pm. Reverend Tom Murray and Mr. Bruce Whitmore officiating. Interment in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave, Ontario. Memorial donations to Knox United Church, Community Nursing Services, or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
