At Wingham & District Hospital, on Friday, December 04, 2009, Bernice Higgins of Wingham, age 86 years. The former Bernice Norman, beloved wife of the late Jack Higgins (1997). Dear mother of Joan James and Claire Daw of R R # 1 Bluevale and Ruth Higgins and Boris Garcia of Mississauga. Loving grandmother of David James and his friend Sherry Gosse and Caitlin and Teegan Daw. Cherished sister of Jean Press of Belmore. Sister-in-law of Chester and Wilda Higgins of Brussels and Bob Higgins of R R # 5 Brussels. Predeceased by her parents James and Julia (Glousher) Norman, her brother John Norman, son-in-law Murray James, brothers-in-law George Higgins and K.C. Press and sister-in-law Elda Norman. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Monday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave, Ontario. Memorial donations to C.N.I.B. or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
