Obituary of Douglas James Calvin Cerson

At Wingham & District Hospital, on Wednesday, May 06, 2009, Mr. Douglas Cerson of Wingham, age 81 years. Beloved husband of the former Dorene Clay. Dear father of Larry and Marie (Dr. Gear) Cerson, and Linda and Dale Edgar of Wingham. Also survived by special nephew Paul and Nancy Cerson of Orangeville, cousin Roy Comrie of Toronto, brother Donald and Nancy Cerson of Guelph and sister Karen Pugmire of Flint, Michigan. Loving grandfather of Christine Hanley, Douglas and Minda Cerson, Roxanne and Mitch Wright, Jake Edgar and Melissa Waller, Shannon Edgar and Geoff Wendorf. Great-grandfather of Cody, Samantha and Mackenzie Hanley, Logan Cerson, Matthew Pocsai, Brooklyn and Julia Wright and Hanna Wendorf. Predeceased by his parents Calvin Cerson and Catherine (Dickison) Cerson Griffin, his step-father Robert Griffin, brother Kenneth Cerson and parents-in-law Jack and Mary Clay. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment in Teeswater Cemetery, Teeswater, Ontario. Memorial donations to Wingham Hospital Foundation or Bluewater Shrine Club would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Masonic Lodge Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 6:45 pm.
