At Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, December 17, 2015, George Merkley of Wroxeter, age 73 years. Cherished husband of Phyllis (Wilson) Merkley of Wroxeter. Beloved father of Sandy and Cam Anderson, Brenda and Dan Renwick, Linda and Jeff Fischer and Brian and Donna-Lynn Merkley. Dear grandfather of Jeremy Anderson & Elisha Coleman, Jenny Anderson, Evan, Danielle, Blake and Katie Renwick, Jessica, Brett and Clark Fischer, and Sadie and Billy Merkley. Brother of Paulene Bennett, Harley and Barb Merkley and Sharon and Jim Adams. Brother-in-law of Reta and Anna Merkley. Predeceased by his parents William and Marie (Coupland) Merkley, his brothers Ernie and Elmer Merkley and brother-in-law Ron Bennett. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario.
