Obituary of Gordon Kenneth Sutcliffe

At Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, December 23, 2011, Gordon Sutcliffe of Wingham, age 85 years. Beloved husband of Donna (Wright) Sutcliffe. Dear father of Joanne and Jack McPherson of Wingham and Karen Blackwell and Bill Fralick of Wingham. Loving grandfather of Dan & Joanne McPherson, Scott & Angela McPherson, Kent McPherson & Val Lamont, Deanne Bragg, Michael & Dannielle Blackwell and Glen Blackwell. Great-grandfather of Kierra, Addison, Karlee and Tyler McPherson, Nathan and Cameron Blackwell and Chloe and Ava Bragg. Also survived by his cousins Avice & Ralph Foster, sisters and brothers-in-law Doris Ellerington, June Kellor, Marjorie Hunter, Barbara & Norman Whiting and Shirley & El Truebner. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Mamie (Warrener) Sutcliffe. Gordon was a retired postmaster of Wingham Post Office. He was also a member of session of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Monday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Reverend Bernard Skelding officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciate as expressions of sympathy.
