At Wingham & District Hospital, on Sunday, May 01, 2011, Mrs. Emma Sturdy of Wingham age 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Marks (1964) and the late John Sturdy (1984). Loving mother of Alice and Wade Stapleton of Wingham, Jack and Doreen Marks of Belgrave, and Betty and Bruce Ortlieb of Bluevale. Sister-in-law of Alice Nicholson. Grandmother of Stan & Gail, Steve & Trudy, Darryl & Janice, Karrin & Shane, Michael, Angie and Mark & Jayme. Great-grandmother of Wes & Amy, Scott, Ben, Kurtis, Phillip, Laura, Kaitlyn and Shannon. Predeceased by her parents Garner and Mariah (Osborne) Nicholson, her infant sister Agnes and her brother Garner Nicholson. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Wednesday, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11:30 am. Reverend Bernard Skelding officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario.
