Obituary of Norman Harold Mundy

At Huronlea, on Friday, April 22, 2011, Norman Mundy of Wingham, age 87 years. Beloved son of the late Theodore and Bertha (Blackhall) Mundy. Dear brother of Robert and Faith Mundy of Baden. Norman was born in Wingham on February 28th, 1924. He worked for his parents in the family business (Mundy's Grocery Store), on Wingham's main street. He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force serving as a radio operator in WWII. He later worked as a decorator for Russell Zurbrigg who operated a painting and wallpapering business in Wingham. He was an avid reader of non fiction books, and could often be found at the Wingham, Lucknow and even Goderich public libraries. During the past several years, he has been a resident of Braemar Retirement Center in Wingham and later Huronlea in Brussels. Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Reverend John Congram officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
