Obituary of Elroy Laidlaw

At Parkwood Hospital, London on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, Elroy Laidlaw of West Wawanosh Township, age 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Louise (Martin) Laidlaw who predeceased him in 1997. Dear father of Joanne and Joseph Ducharme of Goderich, Jane and Thomas Vannus of Lambeth and Paul and Ruth Laidlaw of London. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Lauren White, Lindsay Vannus, Craig Vannus, Jason Laidlaw and Michelle Laidlaw. Also survived by three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents James and Wilhelmina (Straughan) Laidlaw and by his brother Kenneth Laidlaw. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at funeral home chapel on Saturday at 1:30 pm. Mrs. Elly Dow officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Whitechurch, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. A Legion Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6:45 pm.
