Obituary of John Hastings Day

At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 25, 2011, "Jack" "Duke" Day of Wingham, age 86 years. Beloved husband of the former Janet King. Father of Jane Day of R.R. # 1 Wingham. Loving grandfather of J.J. Day of Wingham. Uncle of Wayne Douglas & Janette McClean of Wingham, Bill & Tammy King of Brussels and Carla & Darryl Button in Iowa. Fondly remembered by Raymond and Jaqueline Gowdy and family of Gorrie. Predeceased by brother-in-law William H. and Joanne King and sister-in-law Marie and Carl Douglas. "Duke" was a long time employee of C.K.N.X television (35 years) and spent his remaining time on his well loved century farm. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Pet Rescue would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be made through the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham.
