Obituary of Leona Catherine Black

At Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham, on Sunday, September 25, 2011, Mrs. Leona Black of East Wawanosh Township age 96 years. The former Leona White, beloved wife of the late Stanley A. Black who predeceased her in 1997. Dear mother of Lila and Leroy Rintoul of R R # 2, Lucknow, Harvey and Barb Black of Belgrave and Bryan Black and Emma Shortreed of Bayfield. Loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Mary White of Walkerton. Predeceased by her son Kenneth Black in 1996, one infant grandson, one infant granddaughter and one great-grandson Nigel, her brothers Laverne and Wilfred White and her sister Mary McTaggart. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1:30 pm. Mrs. Elly Dow officiating. Interment in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave, Ontario. Memorial donations to Belgrave Community Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
