At Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Saturday, October 06, 2012, Sydney Thompson of Wingham, age 77 years. Beloved husband of Winona (Wright) Thompson. Dear father of Dennis and Donna Thompson of R.R.#3, Walkerton, Lori Thompson & Gary Harrison of Kitchener, Lisa Thompson and Dennis Schiestel of R.R.#3, Teeswater, and Lana Thompson & Mike McMillan of Collingwood. Loving grandfather of Todd & Jennifer, Mark & Alicia, Deidra, Jack, Ella and Davis. Great-grandfather of Tyler. Son-in-law of Laurine Wright of R.R.#1, Clifford, and brother-in-law of Graham & Janice, John & Shirley, Sandra & Greg, June & John, Janette & Wayne and Rod & Susan. Predeceased by his parents Frank & Luella (Shiell) Thompson, father-in-law Gordon Wright and sisters Frances Thompson in infancy, and Helen Siebert, and brothers-in-law Jack Siebert and Robert McClean. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Monday, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Tuesday at 11:00am. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario.
