Obituary of John McCarthy Moreland

At Huronlea on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, Ian Moreland formerly of Wingham age 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Peggy (Pattison) Moreland who predeceased him in 2011. Loving father of Eleanor Moreland of Brussels. Predeceased by his brother William Moreland. Ian was a former mayor of the Town of Wingham from 1988-1994. Ian was employed at A.V. Roe Aircraft and was a team member on the Avro Arrow Project. Later he worked at Beatties in Guelph and was a part of the management team at Wescast Industries, Wingham. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Saturday at 10:30 am. Father K.P. Morrison officiating. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
