Obituary of John Gordon Leggatt

Gord slept peacefully away on January 24th, 2012 at his home in Wingham. He will be forever remembered by his wife Myrtle, of 67 years, his sons Allan (Roelie) and Murray (Pat). Grandfather to Chris, Angie, Lauren & Matt, Alex, Kimberly and Tim. Great-grandpa to Hennessy, Carver, Maren and Chase. Gord was a WWII veteran (R.C.A.F) and a long time employee of Ontario Hydro. He will be remembered as a true gentleman and his priorities were his family and his church. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Friday, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. A Masonic Lodge service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 6:45 pm.
