Obituary of Gerald Michael Koebel

Following a brief, courageous battle with brain cancer at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener on Monday, March 19, 2012, Gerry Koebel of Gorrie, age 59 years. Beloved husband of Lorna (Telehus) Koebel. Dear father of Brandie Koebel of Toronto, Crystal and Jason Metcalfe of Toronto and Adam and Stacy Koebel of Gorrie. Loving grandfather of Bailen Metcalfe. Son of Mary Koebel of Kitchener. Brother of Rick and Darlene Koebel, Randy and Loretta Koebel, Dan and Vicki Koebel, David and Cecielia Koebel, Theresa and Tino Brito and Victor Koebel. Predeceased by his son Michael (1996) his father Gerry Koebel, his sister-in-law Dianne Koebel and parents-in-law Graham and Marion Telehus. A Celebration of Gerry's life will be held at Listowel Legion Branch 259, upper level on Saturday, March 31st, from 1pm to 5pm. Show cars are welcome. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis or Freeport Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
