Obituary of Mary Lorina Fortney

At Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, January 06, 2012, Mrs. Marie Fortney of Wingham, formerly of Mildmay, age 90 years. The former Marie Montag, beloved wife of the late Leo Fortney, who predeceased her in 2001. Dear mother of Bill and Bernice Fortney of Elmwood, Bob and Kathy Fortney of Dunnville, Joan Kieffer of Hamilton, Jeanette and Francis Williams of Kitchener, Jackie and Doug McBurney of Wingham, Leona and Rick Weishar of R.R. # 4, Listowel, and Lee and Teresa Fortney of Guelph. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, sisters Monica Grubb of Cambridge, Theresa & Ernie Atkins of Chicago and sister-in-law Rita Fortney of Neustadt. Predeceased by her son-in-law Rodger Kieffer, infant twins John and Mary Fortney, six sisters and three brothers. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, Ontario on Sunday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Family Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Monday at 11:00 am. Father John Van Damme officiating. Interment in Formosa Cemetery, Formosa, Ontario. Memorial donations to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
