Obituary of Robert Emerson Ruttan

At his residence, with family at his side, on Saturday, August 17, 2013, Bob Ruttan of Wingham, age 86 years.

Beloved husband of the former Dorothy McDougall. Dear father of Glenn and Julie Ruttan of Calgary, Calvin and Karen Ruttan and Steven and Donna Ruttan all of Wingham. Grandfather of Corey and Jayne Ruttan, Michael and Jennifer Ruttan, Jenna Ruttan and Jeremy deBelleval, Amber Ruttan and Tim Brewer, Chris Burke, Justin Burke, Tina Holder and Taresa Fawcett. Great-grandfather of Meaghan, Ben, Tyler, Hailey, Ava, Ella, Selena, Griffin, Hannah and Jackson. Brother of Anson and Wilda Ruttan of Wingham and Gwen Fraser of Listowel. Brother-in-law of Lovina Ruttan, Shirley Foxton, Reg McDougall, Bill (Jenny) McDougall, Fiona McLeod and Geraldine McDougall. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Margaret (Snell) Ruttan, parents-in-law Leslie and Lillian McDougall, brothers Arthur (Clara) Ruttan, Russell (Mary) Ruttan and Leo Ruttan, brothers-in-law Glenn Fraser, Jack (Alice) McDougall, Harry McDougall, Bob McDougall, Terry ( Nancy) McDougall, Ted Foxton, Alvin Stacey and sister-in-law Doreen Stacey.

Memorial services will be held at Wingham Golf and Curling Club on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Private graveside service will be held at Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated and may be placed through McBurney Funeral Home Ltd. (519)357-1170.
