Obituary of Peter Alan Laird

At Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Sunday, December 01, 2013, Mr. Peter Laird of Wingham, age 72 years. Beloved husband of the late Christine (Boettcher) Laird, who predeceased him in 2012. Brother of Sheila and Don Purdy of Toronto. Special cousin of Shirley Clapham, Janet Carlile and Wallace Eley and families. Also survived by the Wattam family, his many friends at Wingham United Church and Braemar Retirement Centre. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Nora (Power) Laird. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wingham United Church on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Wingham Hospital Foundation or Wingham United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
