Obituary of Gertrude Annie Hynes

At Parkwood Hospital, London on Wednesday, November 06, 2013, Mrs. Gertrude Hynes of London and formerly of Wingham, age 93 years. The former Gertrude Finlay, wife of the late David Hynes who predeceased her in 1998. Loving mother of Dianne Gruden and Don Bethune of London and Joanne and Larry Schnell of Meaford and step mother of Janet Hoggard of London. Grandmother of Todd and Craig Gruden, Jennifer and Paul Fielding, Christina McDonald, Kathy Schnell and David Schnell. Also survived by her great and great-great grandchildren. Sister of Edith Wardlaw of Waterloo, Nora Schroeter of Ingersoll, Doris Phillips and Mary Bennett both of Wingham. Sister-in-law of Margaret Finlay of Lucknow. Predeceased by her husband Russ McIntyre (1955), her daughter Claudia Hynes in 1978, sisters Margaret Farrow and Betty Blackwell and brothers Harold and Robert Finlay. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd. on Monday at 1:30 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Richard D. Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Shriner's Sick Children's Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
