Hazel and my mom, Isobel Arbuckle, were the last of their generation of neighbours. There are so many fond memories of the fowl supper, school fair and hockey games played at Belgrave. In their later years, Mom and Hazel would get together and visit in person or over the phone. Time would melt away and they would laugh like girls as they shared their recollections. Our sincere sympathy is extended in the loss of a truly great lady.

Hazel was.an amazing lady. I feel so blessed to have known her. Halloween was never complete without her awesome fudge! My deepest sympathies go out to the Haines family. I was lucky enough to clean for Hazel for a couple years where I became very close with her. She was the most kind, caring and wonderful lady. She never complained and was always positive and I always enjoyed going to see her on my cleaning days to listen to her stories.
