Obituary of Dorothy Burrell

Suddenly at her home in Walkerton on Saturday, September 21, 2024, Mrs. Dorothy Ann (Geensen) Burrell, formerly of Wingham, at the age of 85 years.

Wife of the late Tom Burrell. 

Mother of Kathy & Terry Benninger of Walkerton, Jane & Ron Terwoord of Chepstow, and Tom Burrell & Heather Uttley of Goderich. 

Grandmother of Richard & Gaby Brindley of Kitchener, Jacquie & Eric Millen of Niagara Falls, Jessica Benninger & Tyler Thompson of Kitchener, Nick & Louise Terwoord of Kitchener, Pat & Whitney Terwoord of Palmerston, Ilyssa & Justin Rivers of Elmvale, and Sam Burrell of Kitchener, and great-grandmother of Jackson, Alexa, Hannah, Abby, Violet, Bentley, Russ, and Leo. Sister of Jeanie Torrance of Hamilton.

Predeceased by her daughter Cindy Brindley.

Grammy had an excellent eye for all things antique. She ran her own antique business along side grandpa and his work shop. To which her grandchildren got to play in and help out with all the time. Grammy will always be remembered for the beautiful lady she was inside and out and how she had the most unique style that everyone knew was hers. We love you Grammy.

A private family service will be held, followed by interment in Wingham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Walkerton would be appreciated.
