Obituary of Jamie Smith

Suddenly at Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Jamie Alexander Smith of Wingham passed away at the age of 63. 

Loving brother of Karen Snow, Heather & John Frieburger, Carla Marks & Jim Ritchie and Kevin & AJ Smith. Devoted uncle of Kyle & Andrea Snow, Nadina & Greg Bray, Jacinda Snow-Bray, Melissa & Shawn Ward, Jerrad & Brooke Riley, Joel & Jen Riley, Cara Laffin, Terri & Todd Smith, and Luke & Leanne Marks. Great-uncle of Madison (Stu), Logan, Grayson, Alyssa, Maya, Jessa, Lochlan, Adelaide, Makenna, Reid, Memphis, Zara, Maverick, Jarin, Jase, Jordyn, Carly, Cole, Cian, Adleigh and Norah and great-great uncle of Abigal and Penelope. 

Predeceased by his parents James & Margaret (Nethery) Smith and sister Jane Anne Nethery.

Jamie's unwavering love for family extended beyond words, leaving a lasting impact on his nieces, nephews, and their families. His selflessness shone through his countless hours dedicated to the North Huron Food Share in Wingham, embodying the spirit of compassion and community. Jamie's simple gestures, like always having time for a warm hello, chat or even a joke, reflected his genuine and kind-hearted nature.

His family invites you to join them at the Royal Canadian Legion, Wingham on Sunday, February 25^th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. to honour Jamie by sharing stories and memories that truly capture what a remarkable person he was.
