Obituary of Ruth Orien

The family of Ruth Mae Orien (nee Carrothers) wish to announce her passing on December 15, 2023 in Paris, Ontario at Parklane Terrace Nursing Home at the age of 94 years.

     She is now dancing on the beach, to and fro,

     Hand in hand, with her handsome man Stan.

She was a truly lovely lady, bound to her family and community with a strong sense of self. She leaves behind a beautiful family; her son Ron Orien of Ottawa, her daughters Sandy MacLeod (John) of Point Clark, Patricia Orien (Richard Koyama) of Toronto, Christine Orien Blake (Jim) of Owen Sound and Dianne Bonnyman (Jeff) of Ingersoll, 13 wonderful grandchildren and 6 very special great grandchildren.

We would like to thank Sepoy Manor, Park Lane Terrace, and all other health care professionals for providing exceptional care to mom over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wingham United Church on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow in the church basement. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wingham United Church, Wingham and District Hospital, or Alice Munro Library, Wingham, would be greatly appreciated, and may be made through the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham.
