Obituary of Doris Hays
At Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, September 7, 2023, Mrs. Doris Erlma (Wray) Hays of Howick Township, at the age of 93 years.
Wife of the late Stan Hays. Mother of Ruth & Paul Gardner of Waterloo, Jean & Bill Carmichael of Burlington, Glen & Charlene Hays of Teeswater, and Brian Hays & Jackie Bucknell of Crossfield Alberta. Grandmother of Karen Carmichael, Janice & Steve Comisky, Mark & Heather Gardner, Eric Gardner & Abby McLellan, Brent & Vanessa Gardner, Robyn Hays & Mike MacLeod, Jeremy Hays, Nickolas Hays, and Brandon Hays, and great-grandmother of Linney, Miles, Maeve, Quin, Tian, and Lina. Sister of Eileen & Jack Toms of Selwyn, Wesley & Gladys Wray of Coquitlam, BC, and Loreen & Frank Alton of Lucknow, and sister-in-law of Velma Hays of Listowel, Margaret Fraser of Londesborough, and Jim Dinniwell of Harriston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers John Wray and George Wray, and by her dear friend George Dickson.
A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at the Teeswater Community Complex on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment in Wroxeter Cemetery. The service will be live streamed, to view it, please click here.
