Thank you for putting up with us for these forty years as your neighbors. We'll always remember the sound of bagpipes coming across the fields.
We miss you Charlie.

We are so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. My father, Jack Z, was a friend of Charlie’s, going back to their RCAF days, so my siblings and I had heard about this remarkable man. The two men kept in touch until this past winter when we lost our father. I had the good fortune to meet Charlie at an auction where he was looking at the Whippet car parts that were available. A later visit to his farm, meeting Grace, and seeing the hive of activity that was Charlie’s barn was wonderful. What a full life Charlie had and may your family find peace in the memories he has given you.

We were friends with Charlie and Grace for many years, visiting with them often. We became aquainted through his support of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band and the Five County Pipe Band. Charlie was a wonderful contributor to these bands with his years of experience and profesional attitude. A real gentleman and a very gentle man wth a great sense of humour.
We'll miss you Charlie - rest in peace, my friend.

I knew Charlie through his membership as a Piper in several local bands. He was always recognizable with his handlebar moustache. While on a band trip to San Diego with the Five County Pipe Band we formed up for the Lion’s Convention parade beside a contingent from Japan. Charlie went over to the nearest member and began speaking Japanese to them., welcoming them to the parade. They were very impressed.
My condolences to your family.

Our deepest condolences to all of Charlie's family. My connection to Charlie is through a Hunt Camp on Heart Lake near Rolphton, Ontario. Charlie was an amazing person. In his nineties he was navigating with his tablet while at the hunt camp just like a teenager. While in camp he enjoyed an occasional drink of Scotch but loved the pies that were cooked from scratch by Ray Walked. He was an amazing person. Rest in peace Charles.
