To Maribeth and the Dixon family and relatives our deepest sympathy on the passing of a Great kind man. I shared many good times with George. He loved his music, family and friends. Sitting at the Warnock house watching hockey games. Then to Jacks room to spin the latest Zeppelin, Dylan, Moody Blues albums and a few drinks (wink). I always wondered who taught George how to hold and smoke a cigarette . I will be spinning a few old discs for you little buddy. Sincerely Valerie and Richard (Swaz) Swizawski

A memory of Uncle George.
One time me and the Dixon family went to Algonquin to camp. One night I had to use the bathroom and Uncle George took me. We stepped out of the camper and found 3 baby racoons in the car trunk eating the cookies with mama close by watching them. Uncle George took a pot and banged inside the trunk to scare them away and save the cookies. They were Matt's favorite. I'm going to miss him dearly.

Dear Maribeth and family
I am saddened to see that George has gained his angel wings.
My mother (Mary Lee at the time) worked for many years with George at the hospital. George was helpful to build and install a swing set in Wingham and regulation size basketball pole/basket/back board in Point Clark, for Mom's grandchildren when they came to visit. George was a handyman who was always at the ready to help out Mom with minor repairs at home too. We were grateful for George's generosity.
Mom always talked about George fondly and from what I recall, they shared lots and lots of stories!
Sending condolences to the entire family. Cherish your many memories.

George and Maribeth have been our neighbors for 32 years now and all of us in our house are going to miss George greatly. We have always been blessed with the neighbors that we have and George was one of the best. He always had a tool to lone if you didn't have one and was always around to help if you needed it. George was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren, and whenever you had a chat with him he would always update you on what was going on with them. We are so sorry to the family for your loss and hope that you feel the peace of God in your lives at this time. If you need anything at all just call across the yard.

George was the sweetest man I know and will be sorely missed by young and old. George loved babies and kids they just made him laugh at their missteps. When his boys were young he would buy two of everything such as two rolls of tape, saws hammers etc. one of each item was hidden for repairs the duplicate other was available to the boys to misuse or damage as they try to learn new skills. He was truly like that.
I will miss our weekly phone calls that always required us to tell a corny joke.
I miss my brother dearly. Joe
