Obituary of Carl Ricker

At Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Lucknow, on Sunday, January 15^th, 2023, Carl Ricker of Wingham passed away peacefully at the age of 78.

Devoted husband of Nolda (Vandenbroek) Ricker of Wingham. Loving dad of Valerie & Darryl Atkins of New Zealand, Bob & Kirsty Ricker of Kitchener, Jennifer & Dan Bonin of Stevensville, Leah Kulas of Vancouver and Lindsay Kulas & Tom Brindley of Dungannon. Cherished grandpa of twelve and great-grandpa of one. Dear brother of Gary Ricker, Diane Prysiazniuk, Karen & Andy Kohut, Marlene Jefferies, Donna & Ray Griffin and Joan Sanders and brother-in-law of Bonnie Ricker. Carl will be lovingly remembered by Nolda’s siblings and their families and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bob & Hilda Ricker, step-father Roy Swick, brother Stanley Ricker, sister-in-law Dawn Ricker and brother-in-law Bud Sanders.

Carl served as a police officer both with the Ontario Provincial Police and part-time with the Wingham Police Service for many years until his retirement.

A funeral service will be held at the McBurney Funeral Home, on Friday, January 20^th at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of Carl’s life will follow at the Wingham Legion from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed, please click here to view the service. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery.
