Obituary of Shirley Whitehead
At Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on Monday, January 9th, 2023, Shirley Whitehead of Wingham passed away at the age of 62.
Devoted wife of Glenn Whitehead. Loving mom of Melissa Jeffray and her husband Paul of Belmore and Steve Whitehead and his partner Natasha Doiron of Barrie. Cherished grandma of Alana, Macie and Darah. Dear sister of Helen & Gary Edge, Don & Tena Thornton, Allan Thornton, Mae Hutchison & Glen Gallaher, Dianne Krotz and Murray Thornton. Sister-in-law of Chris Whitehead. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jack & Mary (McInnes) Thornton, sister Evelyn Thornton and sisters-in-law Jean Baker, Nora and her husband John Currell and brother-in-law Walter Whitehead.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home on Sunday, January 15th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham on Monday, January 16th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations to Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
