Obituary of Gordon Fisher

Peacefully, surrounded by his family at home, Gordon Fisher passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the age of 85.

Beloved husband of Joan (Marshall) Fisher. Loving father of Lonnie & Heather Fisher of Atwood and Lori & Mark Brown of Kitchener. Cherished pawpaw of Michael (Heidi), Jessie (Julie), Jamie (Claire), Christopher (Amanda), Chase (Alysha), Cail (Elizabeth) and great-grandfather of Abby, Hayden, Riley and River. Dear brother of Kathy Gibson of Wingham, Mary Cassidy of Kingston, Sandra & Carman Machan of Brussels, Doris & Rick Cloutier of London, and Bill & Mary Fisher of Burlington. Gordon will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by his son Lee Fisher, parents George & Rena (Carruthers) Fisher, sister Vivian Lougheed and her husband Arnold, brother-in-law Bill Gibson, parents-in-law George & Jean Marshall, sister-in-law Joyce Peckitt and her husband Russell “Buster”.

The Fisher family would like to thank all of the nurses, PSWs and staff of Paramed Palliative Services in Kitchener for the compassion show to Gordon and his family in his final days. 

A private service will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Interment will take place in the spring at South-Kinloss Cemetery, Lucknow. A Celebration of Gordon’s life will take place at the Wingham Sportsman's Club on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 12:30-4:00 p.m.
