Dave and I commuted to work together for several years. At first, I wondered what we would talk about for 50 minutes a day. As it turned out, Dave was a great conversationalist and we never lacked for topics. I very much enjoyed our daily chats. Dave was often the voice of reason - especially when we got talking about our teenage kids. My sympathies to all of Dave’s family.
Sincerely,
Sharon van Veen

So many great memories of working with Dave in Black Lake. He had such a great sense of humour and perhaps that is what I remember and appreciate most. What a delightful person. Thinking of Heather and the family after hearing this sad news.
So glad I knew this wonderful human being.

I taught with David in Black Lake, Saskatchewan. He was very kind and a great friend... who could make me laugh like no other. So sorry for your loss!
