Obituary of Raymond Gowdy

At Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Thursday, May 19^th, 2022, Raymond Gowdy of Wingham and formerly of Gorrie, passed away at the age of 92.

Devoted husband of Jacqueline (Gilmar) Gowdy of Wingham. Loving dad of Janna & Don Dodds of Wingham and Philip & Laurie Gowdy of Strathroy. Cherished grandpa of Rachael Speers & Mike Grass, Eliza Dodds, Jessica & Dan Murphy and Melissa Gowdy. Great-grandpa of Aubrey, Cohen, Alice and Frankie. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Emmeline (Earl) Gowdy, sisters-in-law Muriel Attwood (Jack), Joanne King (Bill), Nadine Cathers (Everett) and brother-in-law Donald Gilmar (Lois).

A service for family and friends will be held at Gorrie United Church on Friday, May 27^th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Final resting place, Gorrie Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
