On Sunday, January 9th 2022, Brian Rintoul of Wingham passed away at Stratford General Hospital at the age of 72.

Devoted partner of Trudy Thomson. Cherished step-father of Carol & John Witney, Angie & Bill Horst, Butch Foran & Lorene Schmidtke and Joy MacDonald & Rob Pollock. Loving grandpa of Jonathan & Ashley, Curtis, Shane, Ryan, Jenna, Justin, Jocelyn, Logan and Wade great-grandpa of Kai and Mya. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gayle & Brad Speiran, Barb Rintoul, Lila Rintoul, John & Clara Thomson, Bruce & Maureen Thomson, Bill & Jan Thomson, and Sandra Thomson. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Doreen (Purdon) Rintoul, brothers Gary and Lee Rintoul, brother-in-law Rae Thomson, sister-in-law Pat Thomson, nephew Kevin Rintoul and niece Debbie Smuck. 

Visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend must RSVP through our website. Masks must be worn at all times and proof of vaccination will be required prior to entry. A private funeral service will take place on Friday, January 14th, 2022 in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. A live-stream of the funeral will be available, please click here. A Celebration of Brian's life will be held a later date when it is safe to do so. Interment will take place in the spring at Wingham Cemetery.
