Obituary of Vera Rae

Peacefully at Braemar Nursing Home, Vera Rae of Wingham passed away on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of Don Rae of Wingham. Loving mother of Christine & the late Jim McGee of Belgrave, Stephanie & Jake Eisenhofer of Kitchener and Kim & Wayne Phillips of Lucknow. Cherished grandma of Rob & Lindsay McGee, Courtney & Tyler Brown, Cody McGee & Zakh Qureshi, Erin & Collin Gagnon and Brett & Laura Phillips. Treasured great-grandma of Kyle and Brett McGee, Boston and Camryn Brown, Sullivan and Maxime Gagnon and Harrison and Drew Phillips. Vera will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephew and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Stephan & Christina Vrana, brothers-in-law Dave & Hilda Rae, Willy Rae in infancy and sisters-in-law Della Rennie (George) and Audrey Rolston (Frank).

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday, November 15th, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend do not need to register, however physical distancing will be in place and please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
