Obituary of Bob Daigle

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bob Daigle of Lindsay on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 in his 74th year. Bob passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with ALS. Bob was born in Kouchibouquac, NB and moved to Ontario in 1967 where he settled and started his family. He will be fondly remembered for his love of life, his jokes, his humor, his love of fishing and all the fish stories but most of all his love for his family.

Loving partner of Barb Munroe. Cherished dad of Dennis & Mel Daigle and Mike Daigle & partner Santana O'Brien. Adored grampy of Tristen, Dryden, Logan, Colton and Kate Daigle. Dear brother of Tom & Georgina, Stuart & Sharon and Francis & Wendy. Bob will be lovingly remembered by Barb’s children, Lisa & Dean, Mike & Katherine, Krista & Brad, Greg & Kim and grandchildren Avery, Dawson, Michael, Savannah, Ben & Max.

Beloved husband of the late Bonnie (MacDonald) Daigle. Loved brother-in-law to the MacDonald family, Hugh & Bonnie, Don & Claire, Sandra, Raymond & Susan, Carol & Cam, Greg, Luanne & Bill, Stewart, Allen, Cindy & Paul and Sally & Harold. Cherished brother-in-law to Barb’s family, Ray & Marlene, Colin & Bernadette, Edna, Pam & Rick, Doug, Lloyd & Joanne and Debbie & Bill. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Alyre & Lillian Daigle, parents-in-law Alex & Betty MacDonald, brothers-in-law Davey Edgar and Brian Tatchell and sisters-in-law Christine MacDonald and Cec Graham.

A funeral service will be held at the Wingham Knights of Columbus Centre on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a short graveside at the Wingham Cemetery for family. A celebration of life and casual visitation will be held back at the Knights of Columbus Centre from 2:00-5:00 p.m. No registration is required however, please wear a mask and arrive early as those wishing to attend the services or celebration of life will need to provide proof of vaccination and ID prior to entry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
