Obituary of Ken Brooks

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ken Brooks announces his passing on Friday, October 1^st, 2021. Ken was born in Wingham, Ontario and in his early twenties moved to Kitchener, Ontario where he resided for the remainder of his life. Ken always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. Ken loved and cherished his large family. Ken enjoyed many motorcycle adventures and breakfast with his good friend Wayne Sell. We will cherish all the beautiful memories. Ken worked for Marks Supply for sixteen years. Ken was predeceased by his mother Helen Steffler, father Robert Brooks (Whitey), and brother-in-law Ronnie Willfong. Greatly missed and loved by his partner of eighteen years Brenda Budgell, and his step-children Cassandra (Josh) and Brandon. Step-grandfather to Tara and Kieryn. Ken will be deeply missed by his brothers Larry (Felicia), Terry (Marion), Jim (Darlene), Don (Donna) and sisters Darlene, Linda (Dan) and Donna, as well as nineteen nieces and nephews and many cousins and dear friends. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Mary’s ICU in Kitchener and London University ICU in London for all their compassionate care shown to Ken and his family.

The family has requested a private funeral service which will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, October 13^th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Although the service is private, please click here to join us via the live-stream. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery.
