Obituary of Florence McArter

At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 23, 2021, Mrs. Florence May McArter formerly of Belgrave, passed away at the age of 92.

The former Florence Cook beloved wife of the late William McArter who predeceased her in 1980. Devoted mother of Joanne & Paul Weishar of Listowel and Gary & Kim McArter of Morris Turnberry Township. Loving grandma of Jeremy & Colleen Weishar, Jenny & Jake Heibein, Jordan & Terri Weishar, Trevor & Melanie McArter, Lacey & Jordan Campbell and Kristen & Dave McClory. Cherished great-grandma of Brynn and Brayden Weisher, Ellie Heibein, Abby and Keenan Weishar, Landon and Luke McArter and Oaklen and Haley Campbell. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Muriel Bosman (Owen) of Sault Ste. Marie, Mildred Paton of Ingersoll, Evelyn Smith of Regina, Saskatchewan, Ruth Cook of Belgrave and Jean Davidson of Brussels. Predeceased by her parents George & Ivy Cook, brothers Norman Cook (Lorna), Charlie Cook (Doreen) and Wes Cook, and sisters Lois Green (Ray), Nora Huskinson (Ben), Annie Cook and Elsie Walsh (Jim).

Visitation will take place on Monday, September 27th, 2021 at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend visitation do not need to register, however please wear a mask and social distance. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. by invite only. Although the service is private, please click here to view the live-stream. Interment will take place at Brussels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Huron Foodshare would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
