Obituary of Brad Horton

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brad Horton of Wingham, on Thursday July 1, 2021, peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side, in his 60th  year.

Loving husband of Pauline (Hope) Horton. Cherished Dad of Dustin Horton, Brittany & Jake Henderson, Corrinna Penfold and Joe & Megan Terwoord. Loving and devoted “Poppa” of Noah, Reed, Seth, Chloe and Travis. Lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his father Ken Horton, brothers Wayne & Carol Horton and Greg Horton. Dear brother-in-law of Gerry & Janie Hope, Tena & Rob Hoffele and Brenda & Dan Meyer. Cherished son-in-law of Bill & Ada Hope. Brad will be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family as well as his many friends and coworkers. Predeceased by his mother Jean (Bain) Horton, sister-in-law Joanne Ruller and brother-in-law Brian Hope.

Brad's life revolved around his family, his love for boating, fun times at the lake, campfires, a dedicated realtor and his spare time was filled with much love for his 5 grandchildren. His humble nature, hearty laugh and true kindness will be missed by a lot of friends that Brad made through his travels to many corners of the world.

Visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, July 9^th, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend must schedule a time slot through our website. A private service will be held on Saturday, July 10^th, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or Wingham Minor Hockey or Ball would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
