At Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on Thursday, February 18, 2021, Pat Schiestel of Bluevale, passed away at the age of 79.

Devoted soulmate of Wayne Day of Bluevale. Loving mom of Penny Lynn & Rick Dwinnell of Kincardine, Rick Schiestel and Dan & Terri Schiestel all of Teeswater. Special grandma of Chris Dwinnell, Tim Dwinnell & fiancée Alanna, Josh & Jessica Schiestel, Dylan & Annelies Schiestel, Spencer Schiestel & Kathleen and Gage Schiestel. Great-grandma of Emily, Sloane, Cason, Oaklan, Dawson and William. Dear sister of Alfreida & Lloyd Gutscher of Walkerton, Marlene & Ron Whitehead of Hanover, Dorothy & Clark Fortune of Chesley, Shirley & Roy May of Mount Forest, Ronald & Mertle Hopf of St. Thomas, George & Eileen Hopf of Hanover and Jacob Jr. & Carol Hopf of London. Pat will be missed by Wayne’s children, Tracy & Terry Carter of Exeter, Kelly & Gordon Greer of Palmerston and Brent Day & Terrie of London and their families. Sister-in-law of Grant & Linda Day.  

Predeceased by her parents Jacob & Loretta (Kirstine) Hopf, sisters Betty Lane (Henry), Jean Harron, Madeline Hopf in infancy, brother Donald Hopf and sister-in-law Ioan Gilbert (James).

Due to current provincial restrictions, a celebration of Pat’s life will be held when it is safe to do so. Final resting place, Walkerton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
