Sorry to hear of Lynn passing. I remember as a young boy going down to look at the snowmobiles way back when the business was at the house. Lynn never ever minded a few snowmobile crazy kids mulling around there as long as we didn't interfere with what he may have been working on. He was always willing to talk to us.
Brian and I were also on the same "Monday night men's bowling league" in Wingham for a few years and that was a lot of fun.

Annabelle, Brian, Terry, Deb and families...
We were saddened to hear of Lynn's passing. We will never forget the week many years ago, when we "supervised" the Hoy kids while Lynn and Annabelle were on vacation. Spending that week with Brian, Terry and Deb provided Trudy and me with a glimpse of the strong Hoy family values that Lynn, along with Annabelle had instilled in their children. And as a result we were able to adapt some of those values to our own growth.
Lynn will be greatly missed, but he left us all a treasure chest of wonderful memories.

We were so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. Murray always enjoyed his conversations with Lynn about growing up in Grey Township. I can remember buying our first Nordic snowmobile and skiboose from Lynn and Annabelle at the house in 1970. Lots of good memories.

Our deepest condolences in the passing of a husband, father and grandfather. Lynn will be missed by family and friends along with many people in the community. He was such a happy, friendly man. I remember when I came to this area and I was coming home from work and the weather was a lot like today, and I went into your business, didn’t know you very well and you both told me I could stay as long as I wanted, to wait till it cleared. It did a bit and I decided to try it and Lynn followed me all the way to where I lived to make sure I got home safe. That was just the type of man he was. That is something I will never forget. I met Lynn when I was 15 years old working at the Riverview Drive-In. Lynn and Annabelle would come get dinner pretty much every week and Lynn would always talk up a storm with me. They both were favourite customers of mine and on my last day working there they had come for dinner and told me they would miss me being their waitress. My condolences to Annabelle and the family.

The first time I met Lynn, we took our 1973 Ski-Doo to him because it wouldn't start. The snow was finally deep enough to ride, and this was the first year I was going to be allowed to drive on my own. Lynn said he wouldn't be able to get it going until some time next year. I almost cried because I had been waiting all year for THIS year, and my dad started laughing. Then I realized it was December 31, and we all laughed and laughed, and the boys came out from the back to say hello and laugh along with us. I will never forget him.

Lynn had a larger than life personality. He always had a big welcome for me during my many visits over the years. I told the following story at Deb and Pat’s wedding. It’s one that immediately comes to mind when I think of Lynn, so it bears to be retold.
I spent most of my elementary school PD days hanging out with Deb and her family. Lynn definitely had a knack for motivating. He convinced Deb and I to pull weeds (I think, milkweeds) from the field behind the shop. How did he convince us to do a job like that? Well, with the promise of money for every weed pulled. He was an entrepreneur and used that same spirit to encourage entrepreneurship in us.
Annabelle, Brian, Terry, Deb, and families, we are sorry to hear of your loss. Todd, the kids, and I send our deepest condolences. Your family will be in our thoughts.
